May 15th NW MI Libertarian meeting to be held in Cadillac and online
The next meeting for the NW Michigan Libertarian group will be held Tuesday, May 15th at 6:30. We will offer pizza and beer! This meeting will be at the Toytown of Cadillac, 122 S Mitchell St in Cadillac. We are grateful to Toytown for offering us this opportunity.
Those who can not make it to Cadillac can join this meeting online. Join from a PC, Mac, Linux, iOS or Android. Click here for a link to the meeting…it takes a minute to download the software.
At the May 15th meeting, we will discuss ways to help our local candidates in the 2018 election. Our primary goal is to make our platform and ideas known to the public so that we can elect candidates. Electing candidates at the local level is the best way to get started.
March Meeting Recap
At our last meeting, we were joined by State Chairman Bill Hall. He discussed the recent success of the state convention in Lansing as well as the upcoming national convention.
We also discussed recruiting candidates to run for local office. Recently we saw a presentation on running for office in Michigan, by Greg Stempfle, Political Director of the Libertarian Party of Michigan (LPM). He also talked about how easy and important it is for all Libertarians to consider running for a precinct delegate.
Who are the Northwest Michigan Libertarians?
Currently, our group consists of a few good Libertarians in Northwest Michigan working towards becoming an official affiliate of the Libertarian Party of Michigan.
We currently cover Charlevoix, Antrim, Leelanau, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Benzie, Manistee, Wexford, and Missaukee Counties.
Our affiliate’s goals would include supporting the local Libertarian candidates, and helping to promote Libertarian ideas in Northwest Michigan.
