Running for Public Office in 2018 as a NW Michigan Libertarian
The highlight of the online January meeting of the Northwest Michigan Libertarians was a presentation by Greg Stempfle, Political Director of the Libertarian Party of Michigan (LPM).
Stempfle’s presentation was called “Running for Public Office as a Libertarian NWMI 2018″
There is a real need for Libertarians in Northwest to step up and run for office, especially at the local level, according to Stempfle.
In this presentation, he reviewed a calendar of events through 2018 Election, as well as requirements for filing and for Campaign Finance. He also talked about elections in Northwest Michigan, and how the LPM can help candidates running as Libertarians.
Thus January meeting for was held online through a program called Zoom. This online meeting seemed to work quite well as an option for snowy weather and/or for those who can’t make the meetings.
